Foundational Singing for Toning & Chanting – 6 week workshop
August 24 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until August 31, 2022

Free Your Voice
This 6 week course will cover foundational aspects of singing, to allow you to free and strengthen your voice. There will be a focus on toning and creating soundscapes.
The classes are not about performing, they are to help you find your own voice in a safe, supported and nurturing environment.
Further Information
This course is structured through the 6 sessions, as it takes time to develop the voice.
We will focus on understanding and working with the body as a creative instrument, through breath, movement and sound, releasing physical and psychological tensions and frustrations.
There will be a mixture of group work and individual attention, with everyone learning through each other as well as themselves. We will cover subjects with scary names like Resonance, Articulation and Phonation (not really scary when you get into them, especially when the names are not mentioned until afterwards)
We will make lots and lots of different sounds designed for you to begin to learn to love your unique, powerful and amazing voice, and to relish opportunities to express yourself; telling life the way it really is.
We will listen, sound and share and you will gain confidence, and step forward in life more equipped to look after your voice in all types of singing situations.
